Burlington, Vermont

We were recently in Burlington, Vermont while working with a client in the area.  What a neat place to visit!

Things to do:  Church Street Marketplace in Downtown Burlington, Vermont is an award-winning open air mall.  It is a hub of activity where you’ll find historic architecture, year-round festivals, street entertainers, music and over 100 places to shop and dine.  Lake Champlain is only a few blocks away from Church Street.

Where to eat:  Shanty on the Shore is a restaurant a few blocks away from Church Street that has fresh seafood and an amazing view of Lake Champlain with the Green Mountains in the background.  The Cajun Blackened Salmon was a hit!

Vermont is known as the Green Mountain State because of the mountains that run primarily North and South throughout the state.  The entire range runs about 250 miles from Massachusetts to Quebec, Canada.  There are several ski resort areas and mountains developed for hiking.

Vermont is also known as the largest US producer of Maple Syrup, producing over 1 million gallons per year.
