Las Vegas

Las Vegas Road Notes

We recently went on a trip to Las Vegas for client meetings and a conference.  The weather was not as warm as we would have liked (it was actually warmer in Nebraska a couple of days), but we were able to do some fun things while we were there.  We stayed at Treasure Island and enjoyed the newly renovated rooms.  One of our favorite places in Treasure Island was Gilley’s Saloon, a country bar with mechanical bull riding, line dancing and karaoke.  Some of the karaoke singers were amazing- they sounded professional!  The bull riding and line dancing were both very entertaining to watch.  We also enjoyed meeting with clients at the Bourbon Room which is located in the Venetian next to Treasure Island. The Bourbon Room is a Rock of Ages themed bar that features 80’s music.

Places to Eat: Seafood Shack for excellent Seafood and Senor Frogs for Mexican both in Treasure Island.  Rick’s Rolling Smoke Barbeque & Tavern for delicious BBQ and cornbread located near the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.

Things to do:

1) See the “Mystere” Cyrque Du Soleil show at Treasure Island.  The acrobatics were amazing and the costumes were so crazy and colorful!

2) Visit the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in downtown Las Vegas, a few blocks from Fremont Street.  It was interesting to see the actual “Pawn Stars” shop.
