New Hampshire Lakes Region Local Dining

New Hampshire Lakes Region Local Dining

New Hampshire is a small New England state with quaint towns, beautiful lakes, trees and mountains.  At the heart of New Hampshire is the Lakes Region which has Lake Winnipesaukee, a popular destination for canoeing, fishing and hiking.  We worked with a client in this area in the town of Gilford, NH.

On this trip, we were able to try several local restaurants and we loved them! Here’s our top 4:

Onions Pub in Tilton, NH.  This restaurant is located in the Tilton Inn (The 1875 Inn). We loved the variety of food and the “Pub Grub” menu.  It was also interesting to hear that the Inn is said to be haunted.  The story is that the Tilton Inn is haunted by a 12 year old girl named Laura who was killed in a fire in the 1800’s.  The TIlton Inn has even been featured on TV’s Ghost Hunters.

Town Docks is in Meredith, NH and offers lake-side seating.  We literally had sand under our feet with a beautiful view of the lake.   Fun atmosphere and great place to be on Lake Winnipesaukee.

O Steak & Seafood is in Laconia, NH on Lake Opechee.  O features premium steaks and several signature seafood dishes such as the Lobster Mac & Cheese (which was delicious).

T Bones Great American Eatery in Laconia, NH is a neat restaurant with outside seating and a view of the Lake.  They have excellent salads and serve free popcorn along with bread which is popular with the guests.  You can also order “In the Pink” to make your meal more heart healthy with less calories.

New Hampshire is a beautiful place to visit with unique local dining establishments, many with lake-side dining options.
