Peak Spotlight: Office Manager Susan Royal springs into action to help healthcare community

For years now Peak’s Office Manager Susan has enjoyed sewing as both a hobby and a small business she operates out of her home. She has a newly renovated showroom that is open on Fridays and most weekends. She also showcases her work at local craft fairs and community activities.

Susan began sewing as a young girl and has developed that passion into making all kinds of articles for friends and family as well as businesses nationwide. Most recently she has received a large number of requests for masks, scrub caps and headbands with buttons for healthcare workers as they continue to work through the Covid-19 pandemic. A stock of her pieces (showcased below) have made it as far as California to a variety of hospitals as the shortage of PPE continues.

Susan commented “Sewing is my passion and creates self-satisfaction, look forward to people being able to visit again soon!” Over the years Susan has developed three different types of scrub caps as well as welder’s hats, aprons and made custom orders from her Etsy site SueMade . Great work Susan finding a meaningful way to give back during these hard times!
